Asset Management Branch

Asset management as a function is a series of coordinated activities that balance cost, risk and performance in the pursuit of organisational objectives to meet customer and community outcomes. Transport for NSW organisational objectives are outlined in the Transport Administration Act 1988. The Transport Outcomes describe the results we are seeking to achieve for customers, communities, and the people of NSW, and the primary purpose for which we administer and invest public resources.

Transport for NSW develops outcome-focused strategies and plans that provide a clear roadmap to deliver these results. Asset management is essential for making appropriate and well-considered whole of lifecycle decisions, to achieve these outcomes.
